Scenic & Wildlife Footage Available for Licensing

We maintain an extensive library of cinematic wildlife and landscape footage that is available for licensing. This footage is ideal for destination marketing, editorial, or educational use.

Whether we’re filming fresh footage or pulling from the archive, we’ll help you find the right visuals to tell your story.

Why is good photography and videography important for my website?

Your website is often the first interaction someone has with your brand. Whether you’re running a local business, managing a nonprofit, or promoting a destination, high-quality visuals help you make that first impression count.

Professional photography and video do more than just look good, they show people what your organization is about. From product photos and storefront shots to behind-the-scenes footage and sweeping landscapes, strong visuals help build trust, tell your story, and drive engagement.

Great imagery signals to both new and returning customers that your organization is the place to be. It boosts credibility, supports conversions, and sets the tone for future growth. You’ve put time, energy, and passion into what you do—let our Montana-based photo and video team help you show it off to the world.

What do Tempest photography and videography services cost?

Each project is a little different, so we provide custom quotes based on your needs. Whether you’re after a quick shoot or a multi-day production, we’ll talk through your goals and deliverables, then send over a free, no-commitment estimate.

Most of our small photo and video packages start at $850, with final pricing based on the scope, location, and deliverables. Whether you’re interested in Montana video production pricing or curious about the cost of professional photography, we’re excited to connect. During our initial call, we’ll walk you through the variables that might affect cost (like drone footage, scripting, models, or travel) so there are no surprises.

We’re based in Helena, Montana. Projects outside a 30-mile radius may include a mileage charge, and some shoots may require overnight accommodations. We serve clients across Montana and are happy to discuss regional and out-of-state projects too.

Looking for high-quality visuals without scheduling a shoot?

We maintain an impressive library of high-resolution Montana imagery, think landscapes, wildlife, landmarks, and more. These assets are available for licensing, with pricing ranging from $35–$120 per image or video clip. We also offer custom packages for multi-asset needs and discounts for new and existing website clients.

Do you offer drone video or aerial photography in Montana?

Yes! Both of our videographers are licensed drone operators with extensive experience flying across Montana. Aerial imagery (whether still photos or cinematic drone video) is one of the most effective ways to showcase your property, business, or destination from a fresh perspective.

For accommodations that span a large area, like RV parks, glamping resorts, or dude ranches, aerial footage offers a clear visual overview that helps guests understand your layout before they even arrive. It’s not just beautiful; it’s practical.

We offer custom drone packages starting around $850. For more details on Montana video production pricing and travel-related costs, visit our photo/video pricing FAQ. Some shoot locations may require FAA waivers or may fall in restricted zones. We’ll research regulations in advance and confirm what’s possible during the quoting process.

Need something fast? We also maintain an impressive library of Montana aerial video and photography, available for licensing. Perfect for websites, digital ads, and destination marketing campaigns.

What is your turnaround time for photography and video production?

Turnaround time for professional photography and video production depends on the scope and complexity of your project. We recommend reaching out early to secure your ideal shoot date. Our calendar can fill up fast, especially during peak seasons.

To ensure a smooth experience, we ask for at least 5 business days’ notice ahead of your preferred shoot date to allow for proper planning and coordination. After filming or photographing, initial drafts are typically delivered within 7–10 business days. Timelines for revisions and final delivery may vary, but we work efficiently to keep your project on track without sacrificing the quality we are known for.

When is the best time to schedule professional photography or video for my business?

The ideal time for a professional photoshoot depends on your business type, location, and how you plan to use the visuals. Seasonality, lighting, and daily operations can all impact the final product.

If your shoot includes building exteriors or outdoor spaces, aim for a time of year when landscaping is at its best and weather is consistent. For many businesses, that’s spring through early summer. Winter-focused brands (like ski resorts or seasonal lodges) may benefit from shoots between January and March when snow conditions shine.

During our planning consultations, we’ll also help you decide whether to shoot during or outside of your normal business hours. If we’re capturing content while you’re open, we’ll use a minimal and non-intrusive setup to avoid disrupting staff or customers.

Montana-based? We often recommend April through early July for vibrant exteriors, or January–March for winter scenes.

I’ve booked a photo or video shoot. How should I prepare?

Ahead of your scheduled shoot, we’ll reach out to go over the details, goals, and what to expect during your photo or video shoot. But a little prep on your end can go a long way, especially if we’re filming on-site at your business.

Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your photo or video session:

  • General Cleaning and Tidying: Give the area a once-over so it looks its best on camera. That includes:
    • Vacuuming carpets or rugs
    • Wiping down windows and glass surfaces
    • Clearing clutter from desks, point of sale, reception counters, and common areas
    • Straightening pillows, chairs, magazines, or displays to create a polished look
  • Signage: Take down any signage that you wouldn’t want to appear in the final imagery. This may include real estate signs, “Closed” signs if we’re filming outside business hours, or temporary notices that aren’t relevant to normal operation.
  • Sensitive information: Make sure to keep private information out of view. Common culprits include:
    • Documents or sticky notes with phone numbers or financial details
    • Whiteboards or calendars with internal messaging
    • Screens with visible customer or business data
    • Consider sensitive information as: financial data, personal cell phone numbers, personal information, ordering information, sales numbers or goals, etc.
  • Lighting: Replace any burnt-out bulbs, and try to match the color temperature of your lights (especially in places like hotel rooms or offices where it’s common to have varied lighting). A warm/cool light mismatch can be distracting on camera.
  • Set Expectations with Your Team and Patrons: Let employees know about the shoot in advance. If someone doesn’t want to be filmed, assign them to another area during the session. If needed, we can provide photo release forms—just give us a heads up beforehand so we come prepared.
  • Let Us Know What to Avoid: If there are areas, equipment, or processes that shouldn’t be filmed, we’re happy to work around them. Just flag those ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
