Our team comes from diverse backgrounds including: Agricultural Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Horticulture, and Business. Shawn Peterson
For 30+ years Shawn has been working with computers and helping businesses optimize their online presence. Shawn and Lisa founded Tempest in 1999 and enjoy partnering with businesses of all sizes. When not collaborating with the talented Tempest team, Shawn enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, traveling and spending time with his family!
Lisa Peterson
Lisa is a graduate of the Montana State University College of Agriculture and enjoys spending time outdoors. Hiking and camping are her favorite pastimes. Lisa coached rec league soccer in Helena for 17 years, and is an avid football fan.
Debbie Carlstrom
Debbie’s role at Tempest is accounting and payroll. With math teachers as parents, it’s not surprising that she swims well in the sea of numbers. She enjoys the great outdoors of Montana, puzzles, and yoga.
Jamey Maxwell
From an early age Jamey has had a strong fascination with computers, and that interest eventually grew into his career in the technology industry. His vast experience has built a foundation of forward-thinking and adaptive skills that has helped solidify successful projects from inception to completion. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and exploring new adventures with his family, playing and coaching sports with his children, and hiking the wonderful outdoors in our national parks.
Linda Brown
Linda, a graduate of the Carroll College business program, loves working with people and has worked directly with our clients for over 18 years. Along with her husband, they've raised two kids with the Montana lifestyle they love. They enjoy family time, camping, hiking, boating, hunting and everything under the big sky.
Spencer Wolny
In one way or another, Spencer has been programming and tinkering with computers for close to 30 years. He enjoys the feeling of satisfaction of solving problems with well crafted, elegant solutions. When not in front of a screen, Spencer enjoys mountain biking with his kids, fly fishing on the Clark Fork, woodcarving, and just relaxing with his family and ever growing menagerie of pets.
Katya Peterson
Katya is a graduate of Montana State University - Go Cats Go! On her days off, you'll find her camping, hiking, and recreating across beautiful big sky country. She loves to travel and works best when there are 100 things on her plate. Katya is passionate about storytelling, obsessed with TED Talks, and is our resident auctioneer.
Megan Maxwell
Megan is a graduate of The University of Montana. She and her husband have three children, and she stays busy supporting their many pursuits. Her passions include hiking, home improvement projects, and checking destinations off a travel bucket list with her family.
Cole Peterson
Cole is a Montana State alum and a developer at Tempest. He enjoys long walks on the beach at sunset and frolicking in the forest with his trusted canine companion.
Andy Hunt
Since joining Tempest in 2019 as a Developer, Andy enjoys building his knowledge of the software stack every day. A proud father of two, he also enjoys playing his guitar, reading, and of course, binging on Netflix in his spare time.
Bret Cason
Bret enjoys Motorcycling, Balsa Wood Airplane building and Playing 6 string guitar. He also likes to surf concrete, race slot-cars and hang out with his best friend. Bret always enjoys solving problems and convincing machines to do his work.
Ma Vang
Ma was born and raised in Missoula Montana and joined the Tempest team in 2018 as an intern. He has since developed a love for coding and software development. When not coding Ma can be found fly fishing and hunting the local rivers and mountains, or with close family enjoying all things Montana.
Mike Dreesman
Ever since Mike’s Dad built him a darkroom in the 7th grade, he’s been hooked on capturing images on both film and now digital. Mike is fortunate to be able to combine his interest in videography with his love of the natural world and aviation. Mike enjoys exploring wild places with his five children, three grandchildren, and his lovely wife, Serene.
Sarah Bolt
Sarah is a graduate of Montana State University and loves experimenting with photo equipment. Originally from Alaska, she feels at home in the mountains or by the sea. In her free time, she enjoys being outside, spending time with friends, and eating tacos, among many other things.
Zach Yazzie
Zach is a graduate of Brigham Young University - Idaho. Ever since coding his first app back in 2019, he's been hooked on development. He loves problem-solving and learning new technologies! When he's not coding, he likes to spend time with his wife and kids, playing tabletop games, or 3D printing.
Steffen Rasile
Steffen boasts a remarkable tenure of over 16 years in WordPress development. His deep-rooted love for his hometown of Helena drives his unwavering commitment to assist businesses in overcoming their web-related challenges. He constantly seeks out avenues to lend his extensive expertise and provide effective solutions in the digital realm.
Dan Rickman
Dan has been designing and building websites since 2010, and loves to tinker with user interfaces and search engine optimization. When not creating, Dan enjoys camping, video games, and whiskey - preferably all at the same time.
